Who is Hissing in your Ear?

Ladies, I want to pose a question to you, who are the voices in your life? When we think of a hissing sound we associate it with the sound that a snake makes and most people view snakes with a negative feeling. So my sisters, consider this thought was not Eve deceived by a snake. Eve allowed the snake to talk her out what she knew to be true. Some of us have allowed people to speak in our ears such negative and condescending words that we start to believe what we know is not true.Let’s look at the relationships in our lives there are some people who we enjoy being around, they are encouraging, uplifting, good listeners and funny. Then there are those who are always putting us down, never have a positive word to say and we are miserable just being around them. Which person would you like to be around the most? Unfortunately, some of the negative people are those who are very close to us a spouse, a parent, a sibling or someone who you may have considered a friend. Some of you who are married maybe that person is a spouse and some you feel like prisoner in your own home. There are some who have a parent that you have been trying your whole life to please and no matter what you do it will never be good enough. God never wants us to become a slave to someone else and I say slave, because a slave is not free. Submission does not mean door mat. You should never let anyone wipe their feet on you. God says that I am head and not the tail, above and not beneath so I am no one’s mat for their feet.We are gifted and anointed to do something of great impact in this world, so we must be careful who we allow in our ears. Just because someone is talking doesn’t mean you have to listen, especially if it is not adding, but subtracting from your life. I heard my pastor say this week that Martin Luther King once said, “it is not what someone calls you, it is what you answer to”. My hope is that you will answer to the call of God. He calls you a conqueror. You are victorious and you are created in his image. You are a queen, Esther waiting to be released.
