Thanksgiving has come and gone. Christmas Day is rapidly approaching and some of us are busy preparing despite the economy, it is a joyful time for most us. I am reminded even in my daily work and ministry that there are those for whom this time of year is difficult. I know there have definitely been some tough times in my life. Today, I am reminded of the goodness and faithfulness of our God to get us through any situation. I met a woman a few days ago whose husband committed suicide just a few months ago. As she fought back tears, she was in awe of the grace of God which is keeping her. Maybe you are like this woman it may be hard right now but I want to encourage you take inventory of every blessing and to recognize despite it all God is still good. If people, your heart or your flesh has failed, God never will. He loves you, He wants to heal you and comfort you. Remember it is not about what we have or about what we have loss; it is the goodness of the Lord that sustains us.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
