I have decided to embark on “the 40 day soul fast” by Dr. Cindy Trimm; I have completed my first week. I am excited to have begun this process because I believe that our souls can become so contaminated with “stuff”. The purpose of this particular soul fast is about becoming your authentic self and discovering the you that God created you to be. According to Webster, authentic is “real, genuine”.
I am sure that I’ve share this before but being authentic is something the Lord spoke to be about 2 yrs ago driving home from work one day. Since that time there are moments when God shows things about me that I did not know. You may be thinking what does this have to do with the soul. Our soul is made of our will, mind and emotions and this is usually where the “stuff” comes into play. The traumas, losses, schedules, knowledge we take in can all be areas that hold us back. For instance if you have a childhood trauma, one may still be living as a victim and therefore on some level you let it define part of who you have become. Be willing to let go and let awareness of self, commitment and truth guide your soul. God want to show us who we really were born to be, fasting the soul can bring us closer to him, to that goal and our destiny.
What this soul fast is doing for me is giving moments of reflection and quiet time with God. I believe we are willing to examine our souls and allow God to heal the hurt places and reveal unto us areas which hold us captive and keep us from moving forward. There comes a point when we need to dump the mask get real with ourselves because God already knows the truth. If we were honest with ourselves we would realize that others don’t believe the hype. Maybe you need to push yourself to the next level in God. Join me on this journey to becoming all that God has for us.
So Sisters, we will prepare to take a two month study journey of the life of the soul and encourage other sisters to participate.
We will create an unstoppable movement! You may think that one healed soul cannot heal the world, but it can, so sisters let’s do it together.

No child care, so ladies please leave your children at home. This session is for you and you do not need distractions. Refreshments will be served after session.
The mission of R.E.L.E.A.S.E., INC. is a ministry which allows women to receive inner healing from oppression, depression, abuse and rejection. The women will rediscover their authenticity in a nurturing environment such as monthly gatherings, seminars, workshops, conferences, media and blogs.
